Little Albert Update

I've just updated the Little Albert page on the website with an audio recording of the original study by Watson and Raynor. I've also added a link to a wonderful video by psychologist Michael Britt; entitled Finding Little Albert; which is introduced as follows:

I've just started a new section on the All About Psychology Website featuring magazine articles. This section forms part of the wider initative to make important, insightful and engaging public domain works freely available.

The first magazine article I've made available is an absolute belter from 1957. Entitled Beware of Psycho-Quacks, it addresses the problem of phonies and charlatans, how to recognise them and how to tell them from genuine psychologists.

The Visceral Mind

The School of Psychology at Bangor University, Wales, UK is hosting a one-week summer school course in functional gross neuroanatomy for approximately 40 students this fall, from the 6th to the 10th of September, 2010.

Entitled “The Visceral Mind: A hands-on course in the neuroanatomy of cognition”, a key objective of our course is to provide the experience of anatomical examination of the human brain to students from institutions where this opportunity is not readily accessible. Therefore, the course is open to applicants world-wide from any institution, but priority will be given to those from outside the United States. Bursaries are available for course fees and travel assistance.

I recently added a Carl Jung page to the All About Psychology website. From here you can access detailed information and resources relating to the man who founded analytical psychology and is considered by many as one of the most influential and enigmatic thinkers of the 20th century.

This includes access to free full text Carl Jung publications that have been made available as part of an initiative designed to make important public domain works in psychology freely available. At the time of writing, "On The Psychology & Pathology of So-Called Occult Phenomena" and The Assocation Method have been added to the Free Carl Jung Publications section of the page.
